Coaching
Alex brings the perspective of both an athlete and a coach.
His education in medicine, exercise physiology, psychology and extensive real life experience enables him to strike a delicate balance between the various aspects of triathlon training, within the restrictions of everyday life. "The knowledge is the first step, however, the art of coaching is the ability to tailor that knowledge and apply it toward a particular athlete. In order for a training plan to be effective, a coach and athlete must work together with clear, open dialogue and a shared vision."
During medical school, his wife and other commitments made it necessary for Alex to not only understand, but also maintain balance within his own life. He is able to help an athlete integrate triathlon into their daily routine so that it does not detract from, but enriches all aspects of their life. "Due to the complexity of triathlon training and level of dedication that many athletes bring to the sport, I believe that triathlon is not merely a great way to exercise, it positively impacts all aspects of a person both physically and psychologically leading to a healthier lifestyle," Alex says.
In the following years many are expecting Alex to solidify his position as a professional athlete and coach.
